PMO Manager IT

This role is responsible for building and providing direction to the IT project management office or function. Defines and develops IT project/program management best practices, processes, and policy to ensure alignment with corporate strategy and goals. Partners with multi-departmental leadership and other stakeholders to locate opportunities and develop and prioritize projects according to relevant measurement criteria.

Key Responsibilities

• Develops PMO processes and policies, and works with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs.
• Implements and provides guidance related to PMO processes and policies, oversees the work of project management staff, and works with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs.
• Experienced ability to coordinate, communicate, and develop detailed requirements in conjunction with project management team to meet the needs of the business.
• Experienced ability to apply system development methodologies for custom and package application projects.
• Ensures that project milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
• Experienced ability to provide direction, motivation, training, and decision support to project staff as it relates to internal project management.
• Experienced ability to assist others in the completion of assignments through knowledge sharing.
• Experienced ability to propose or refine project standards, policies, procedures, and methodologies for DHL IT.
• Experienced ability to understand and promote DHL's project lifecycle, concepts, principals, and business processes.
• Apply broad understanding / knowledge of IT infrastructure components.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in a relevant or technical subject.
• 6+ years IT Project Management experience.
• Strong project management skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak very effectively to different types of stakeholders, across functions, hierarchies, and cultures.
• Pragmatic and highly effective problem-solving skills.
• Effective senior stakeholder management.
• Proficient knowledge in MS Office Suite.

Preferred

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
