About:

The Project Operations Manager is responsible for developing and executing project management initiatives that improve practices across the company, ensuring the effective implementation of project management tools, processes, and methodologies, while proactively identifying opportunities to enhance project delivery, data governance, and training. The Project Operations Manager collaborates closely with sector and operational leadership and sector project teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and operational needs, bringing forward ideas, insights, and solutions that advance project management maturity across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement improvements to project management tools and processes and make reporting structure recommendations to enhance efficiency and consistency.
  • Ensure consistent adoption of project management methodologies across the organization.
  • Manage project tracking dashboards and reporting tools to monitor project health, performance, and recommend refinements based on trends and feedback.
  • Execute process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, consistency, and effectiveness in project execution.
  • Collaborate with sectors to ensure adherence to project management policies, standards, and data governance requirements.
  • Monitor project execution for consistency and proactively identify areas for improvement.
  • Support the collection and use of lessons learned to promote continuous improvement in project management practices.
  • Contribute to the development and lead the execution of project management education programs ensuring alignment with company needs and industry standards.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to project managers on process implementation and best practices.
  • Assist in refining project management career paths and professional development initiatives to support growth and leadership.
  • Promote knowledge-sharing initiatives to strengthen project management capabilities and enhance cross-functional collaboration.
  • Serve as a liaison between sector project managers and operational leadership to align project execution with operational standards and business goals.
  • Proactively identify change management challenges and support effective adoption of new project management standards and processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering operations to provide project management support for key operational initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities and execution goals.
  • Foster collaboration between project teams and leadership to maintain consistency, drive strategic outcomes, and support continuous improvement.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, science, technology, or business required. Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the AEC or professional services industry may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience required, including at least 4 years of cumulative project management experience.
  • Advanced knowledge and application of building design and construction principles required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management standards, execution, and governance frameworks.
  • Strong ability to influence, motivate, and collaborate across teams to achieve strategic goals.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of maintaining effective relationships with project stakeholders and leadership.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Professional Engineering license preferred.
