About the Residency Program:
  • 4-Year ACGME-Accredited Program: Officially launched on July 1, 2022, with a robust curriculum emphasizing brain injury, stroke rehabilitation, and general PM&R.
  • Dedicated Support: You'll work alongside a highly skilled Program Coordinator and a multidisciplinary team, ensuring excellence in all aspects of education and clinical practice.
  • Shaping Future Leaders: You'll play a pivotal role in preparing compassionate, skilled physicians who embody RRH's values of care, collaboration, and innovation.


Position Highlights:
  • Lead with Purpose:
    • Develop a comprehensive, forward-thinking curriculum that inspires residents to embrace tomorrow's challenges and opportunities in PM&R.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, where both faculty and residents are encouraged to grow personally and professionally.
    • Oversee resident education and mentorship, ensuring they graduate as confident, well-rounded clinicians dedicated to uplifting their communities.


  • Collaborate Across the System:
    • Partner with RRH's interdisciplinary teams to create meaningful learning experiences that reflect the integrated, team-based care we provide to our community.
    • Strengthen relationships with faculty and colleagues, bringing PM&R physicians together to align with our shared vision.


  • Administrative Leadership:
    • Lead the annual recruitment process for residency candidates, showcasing RRH's commitment to training physicians who make a difference.
    • Monitor and evaluate resident progress using ACGME milestones and ensure compliance with all institutional and program requirements.
    • Drive the program's growth and success by collaborating with institutional leadership to maintain high standards of quality and innovation.


  • Clinical Excellence:
    • Balance your leadership responsibilities with hands-on clinical care as an attending physician in the inpatient rehabilitation unit, outpatient brain and stroke clinics, or a combination of both.
    • Model compassionate, patient-centered care that reflects RRH's purpose and values.

Qualifications:
  • Required:
    • Board Certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
    • Minimum of three years of clinical, educational, and/or administrative experience in an ACGME-accredited residency or fellowship program.
    • Strong leadership skills and a passion for mentoring the next generation of PM&R physicians.
    • Documented scholarly activity, such as research publications, professional presentations, or contributions to medical education.
  • Preferred:
    • Expertise in delivering lectures and leading educational initiatives.
    • Proven ability to unify and engage PM&R faculty members, creating a collaborative environment aligned with RRH's vision and values.

Pay Transparency

In addition to the base pay range, certain provider positions may be eligible for variable
compensation in accordance with health system pay practices. This may include: productivity and/or value based clinical incentives, bonus compensation, or other forms of variable pay.

Physician - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
L - Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly; requires occasional walking, standing or squatting.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
