Position Details

The Police Records Supervisor will provide coordination of the activities of departmental support staff engaged in record maintenance to ensure accuracy of departmental records and procedures. Create an environment where your team can do what they do best every day.
How you'll use your strengths every day

Police Records Supervisor will collaborate in planning, development, and implementation of the Police Records staff workflow
  • Directs the Police Records function in alignment with the department values and procedures.
  • Conducts and oversees unit training and directs work, creating clarity so everyone can perform their best.
  • Supports the crime analyst function to meet departmental priorities
This position will champion information distribution in accordance with department policy to meet the needs of the organization and community
  • Respond to inquiries and requests from internal and external sources.
  • Acts as liaison with external agencies to facilitate exchange of information

What you'll bring to help you be successful

Two years post-secondary education in business administration, law enforcement or a related field; three plus years' experience working in a law enforcement environment; supervisory experience; ability to be certified in 'Hot files' and/or Terminal Agency Coordinator through CJIS. Local government experience preferred.
