Summary
The Data Analyst will work to support company performance analysis across all departments. S/he will initially be responsible for key performance indicators for all departments in the company. The analyst will also work to automate this reporting, likely through Power BI. The goal is to move toward real time dashboards. This will require innovation, creativity, sound technical knowledge, and accountability for delivery. S/he will work as part of the team to identify, document, and support implementation of efficient business solutions. This includes gathering business requirements, facilitating business workgroups, and interfacing with IntraCare, data partner, and other clients as needed.
The Business Analyst Consultant will report to the Population Health Analyst. The Population Health Department helps track goals consistently, predict and prevent downward trends, and execute effectively on all the projects that bolster performance. Population Health Team members must work well on cross-functional projects, demonstrate high detail orientation and organizational skills, and be able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. This role will work with IT partners. Remote work is a possibility.

Key Responsibilities:
- Calculate and validate Key Performance Indicators and continuously perform analysis to:
- Accurately present current business performance
- Utilize different data sources (e.g. payers, electronic health records) to assess, produce, and/or develop standard or custom information (reports, dashboards, interactive reporting, charts, graphs and tables)
- Effectively summarize information and create intuitive/digestible information by selecting visualizations that are fit for purpose.
- Suggest and implement ways to make reporting more efficient
- Document all source data and calculations
- Identify which portions of the business process will be / can be automated via a system by assessing impact of the requirements
- Share and incorporate organizational best practices into business applications.
- Collaborate with department leaders to use data in the identification and tracking of operational initiatives
- Analyze data for trends, observations, improvements and make recommendations for department leaders to drive relevant business or clinical initiatives.
- Recommend / Offer process improvement alternatives for system and manual processes
- Identify metrics / analytics to measure and track the health of business and the business process that is implemented
- Promote best practices in data analysis and reporting, such as leading validation of output and metrics to ensure data quality, reliability and integrity.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
- Ability to quickly understand the business issues and data challenges within the healthcare industry and our business organization.
- Desire to work in a fast-moving team environment with a proven ability to take ownership over projects and complete them in a timely manner.
- Experience producing reports to evaluate and present healthcare data.
- Experience working with different teams to document business requirements.
- Excellent detail-orientation and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical, multi-tasking, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form to a diverse audience.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business analytics, data science, statistics, computer science, information management, finance, economics, healthcare administration, public health or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2+ years in business analytics or business process improvement.
- Minimum 2+ year of healthcare experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree or equivalent experience/training.
- Familiarity with Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial health plan data.
- Experience with project management or project tracking.
- Proficiency using data visualization tools, such as PowerBI or Tableau.
Physical and Other Requirements:
- No travel anticipated.
- Hybrid Role with work from home and office in Carrollton.
