The Portfolio Analyst will be working on a range of multifamily investment strategies and will be engaged in all aspects of the real estate investment process, including analyzing, sourcing, and executing new investment opportunities; formulating new investment strategies and marketing materials; ongoing financial modeling and liquidity management; and investor reporting.

What You'll Do:
  • Underwrite new multifamily investments across the risk spectrum, including ground-up development opportunities
  • Develop customized investor and prospective investor memorandums and presentations
  • Monitor property-level performance through variance analysis and market research
  • Maintain and analyze fund-level financial models in order to manage liquidity needs
  • Execute quarterly and annual reporting
  • Generate investment summaries, strategic plans and other documentation associated with fund operations
  • Support portfolio management in annual budget and asset planning process
  • Assist with preparation for advisory committee meetings, board meetings and annual meetings with clients and consultants

Qualifications:

You are highly motivated and a team player with a natural ability to build relationships across the organization to deliver superior results. Your innate desire to "roll up your sleeves" is essential. You are curious and have a desire to learn and grow within the team to take on more responsibilities. In addition, you must:
  • 2 to 4 years of real estate investment/development, investment banking, or finance experience
  • Fundamental knowledge and understanding of multifamily transactions and management
  • Experience underwriting ground-up multifamily development opportunities with waterfall structures as well as core/core-plus and value-add investment opportunities
  • Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to build detailed financial models from scratch. Excel test will be required in the screening process.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills.
  • Effective business writing and communication skills
  • Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
