The Power and Utilities Portfolio Manager - VP is responsible for the underwriting, credit monitoring and portfolio management of power project finance and utility relationships. The Portfolio Manager - VP takes on independent responsibility for the underwriting and management of new and existing loan transactions, coordinating with the relationship manager(s) and credit approval team. Prepares and processes loan modification / amendment requests, tracks covenant compliance and internal portfolio tracking metrics, reviews legal documentation, maintains credit files and loan documentation, reviews borrowing and disbursement requests, and interfaces with Risk Management, internal and external Legal, Loan Operations, and the Credit Department. The Portfolio Manager - VP also assists with review and quality control of the work of supporting junior staff on transactions and for annual reviews/modifications.
This person will also:
  • Maintain and build loans and deposits, fee income and referrals of business.
  • Ensure the portfolio administration and risk management of each client relationship is in compliance with established Associated Banc-Corp credit policy, procedure and business strategy as well as regulatory guidelines.
  • As appropriate to experience, co-manage relationships by analyzing financial data to determine the merits of specific loan requests, and recommend structure as well as aggressively managing the client relationship.
  • Partner with the Relationship Manager as the point of a contact for the client; acting as a liaison to the Credit Department, the Commercial support staff and other internal business partners.
  • Training and development of more junior portfolio manager.

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or other related discipline, or equivalent related experience. Required

Experience
  • 4+ years of Commercial/Corporate/Commercial Real Estate/Specialized Banking and/or Credit Approval Experience. Required
  • 4+ years of extensive experience handling complex credits. Required
  • 3+ years working in Specialized Finance - Energy. Strongly Preferred
  • 2+ years of sales experience. Preferred
  • 2+ years of formal credit training. Preferred

Licenses and Certifications
  • CFA-Charted Financial Analyst. Preferred

Must have access to reliable transportation and the ability to lawfully drive self, if applicable. Required

$112,770.00 - $193,320.00 per year
