The K. Dhodapkar lab is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Post-Doctoral Research Fellow to work in a collaborative environment leading research on understanding the biology of the immune system in survivors of childhood cancer. This position will utilize several functional, singlecell, and computational approaches to dissect properties of immune system in survivors of childhood cancer. The position will provide opportunities to advance translational applications in the areas of immunotherapies and for collaborations with colleagues in University of Washington and other cancer centers. This position is ideally suited for a candidate who enjoys working collaboratively across disciplines, mentoring junior scientific investigators, and contributing to an innovative academic environment to forge new scientific directions.

Responsibilities
  • Handling projects independently, including literature reviews, experimental design, and data analysis, under the guidance of the laboratory PI.
  • Contributing to the preparation of research reports, publications, and oral presentations.
  • Opportunities for presentations at scientific conferences and symposiums.
Qualifications
  • PhD and/or MD in a relevant field (immunology, molecular biology, cell biology, computational biology, or related fields).
  • Track record of productive research, with high quality publications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • A team player with strong aptitude for collaboration.
  • Experience in immunology and basic immunology techniques is desired.
  • Additional experience in animal handling, flow cytometry, single cell transcriptomics, gene editing, molecular biology, proteomics, immunohistochemistry, bioinformatics, and/or microscopy is a plus.
