Position Overview:

ExecTech is seeking an experienced Power Platform Developer to lead the modernization of existing applications within the Department of State. This role will be responsible for evaluating .NET and SharePoint applications to determine their suitability for migration or enhancement using Microsoft Power Platform. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, and AI Builder, with a deep understanding of how to refactor legacy applications into modern low/no-code solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Application Modernization: Assess, analyze, and determine whether existing .NET and SharePoint applications can be transitioned to Power Platform solutions.
  • Solution Development: Design, develop, and implement user-centric applications using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, and Dataverse.
  • Integration & Migration: Refactor or integrate applications with Power Platform, leveraging Azure, M365, Dynamics 365, APIs, and third-party data sources.
  • Optimization & Troubleshooting: Identify performance bottlenecks and recommend improvements for Power Platform applications.
  • Technical Documentation: Produce clear technical documentation and user guides for both developers and end-users.
  • Collaboration & Training: Work closely with citizen developers and business stakeholders to enhance existing applications, troubleshoot issues, and scale solutions to broader audiences.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure that all solutions align with security best practices and Department of State policies.
  • Innovation & Best Practices: Stay updated on the latest Power Platform features, trends, and Microsoft certifications.

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience developing IT solutions, with expertise in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, AI Builder, Power Pages).
  • Strong knowledge of .NET and SharePoint applications, with experience evaluating legacy applications for modernization.
  • Mastery of PowerFx and experience designing scalable data structures within Power Apps and Dataverse.
  • Experience with application lifecycle management (ALM) and best practices for Power Platform development.
  • Proficiency in M365, Azure, Dynamics 365, PowerShell, JavaScript, SQL, HTML, and CSS.
  • Ability to connect external systems using APIs and integrate with enterprise data sources.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience with citizen developer adoption and mentoring teams on Power Platform best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working within federal agencies or highly regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience in training and coaching teams on Power Platform.

  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate

Preferred:
  • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
  • Scrum Alliance: Certified Scrum Developer
