We are looking for a Dev/Research Engineer for Peoria, IL. This position involves contributing to the ePowertrain NPI simulation team in executing simulation requests, developing core processes, and collaborating with global teams in the Location. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with a Master's preferred, and at least 5 years of experience in 1D system simulation. Proficiency in Matlab Simulink or similar tools is desired, along with strong communication skills. Arrogance or a belief of having all the answers is a disqualifier.
Position Overview
The Dev/Research Engineer will be a key contributor to the ePowertrain NPI simulation team, responsible for executing simulation requests and communicating results. The role involves developing and documenting core simulation processes and reporting progress on simulation activities. The engineer will work closely with component and sub-system teams to simulate ePowertrain system performance and contribute to the development of new simulation capabilities.

Job Responsibilities
- Execute ePowertrain NPI simulation requests and communicate results/learning.
- Develop and document core simulation processes and ensure adherence.
- Report progress on simulation requests.
- Document significant results/findings of simulation activities.
- Collaborate daily with the ePowertrain simulation team and other global teams.
Education & Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (required).
- Master's degree in a focused area within Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience.
- Will consider candidates with a PhD.
- At least 5 years of experience performing 1D system simulation.
- Experience with 1D performance simulation on Power systems or Drivetrain systems.
- Proficiency in Matlab Simulink and/or similar tools.
- Ability to communicate well with engineering peers to obtain critical information for successful ePowertrain system simulations.
