Position Summary
The Practice Development Officer will be responsible for supporting the growth and operational success of wealth management and specialty practices at Cerity Partners. This includes facilitating new business opportunities, enhancing existing client relationships, driving marketing initiatives, and ensuring operational effectiveness. The role requires a strategic liaison with demonstrated expertise in client, colleague, and operational success as well as a strong financial background to uncover and unlock opportunities across our growing firm.

Position Summary

Primary Responsibilities
- Practice Development, Relationship Management and Growth Support:
- Cultivate strong and trusted relationships with practice leaders.
- Work closely with practices to develop and execute strategies for client acquisition, retention and revenue growth within the practice.
- Facilitate lead flow by developing and implementing strategies to uncover new opportunities within unique and growing practices, optimizing internal processes and identifying potential client opportunities.
- Use central practice management systems to optimize practice lead flow from external sales team and drive practice collaboration as appropriate.
- Research market trends, competitor strategies, and client demographics to enhance advisor outreach and engagement, and identify potential clients and new opportunities
- Provide suggestions and strategies on P&L performance, market trends, and new investment opportunities.
- Support the development of business plans and goal-setting for advisors to improve practice efficiency and profitability
- Client and Prospect Communication & Marketing
- Serve as a business development concierge for advisory practices, providing assistance to practices in refining their marketing strategies and creating messaging to effectively engage current and prospective clients.
- Develop and implement client communication strategies, including email campaigns, social media presence, and event planning.
- Coordinate with internal marketing teams to create marketing materials, client email communications and thought leadership content to enhance client engagement
- People and Practice Development
- Assist practices in identifying hiring needs and help facilitate with internal groups the onboarding and training of new advisory personnel.
- Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and professional development.
- Collaborate with leadership to implement human resources policies and best practices that foster a productive and compliant work environment.
- Operational Support, Reporting and Strategic Initiatives
- Help practices adhere to firm policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices to increase the efficiency and productivity of the practice.
- Work with shared services to identify and implement operational improvements that enhance practice efficiency.
- Assist with and create internal practice reporting and tracking of key performance metrics related to client acquisition, retention and revenue growth within the practice.
- Practice Integration:
- Support the onboarding and ramp up of new practices, ensuring they are well-versed in the firm's wealth management, central solutions and specialty practice offerings and client service standards.
- Foster a culture of continuous growth and optimization within practices.
Ideal Candidate Profile - "Our Casting Call!"
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, marketing, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in wealth management, business development, practice management, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of investment advisory business models, financial products, wealth management principles, client relationship management, and industry best practices.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic business plans.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Experience in marketing, client acquisition strategies, and lead generation.
- Knowledge of human resources policies, hiring best practices, and employee relations is a plus.
- Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills.
- Ability to analyze data and industry trends to drive strategic decisions.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, marketing tools, and financial planning software

- Experienced Wealth Advisor to high-net-worth clients.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in wealth management.
