Preconstruction Manager

Preconstruction Manager Position Overview: The Preconstruction Manager is responsible for leading the preconstruction and estimating process, working collaboratively with other departments to achieve project goals and objectives. The Preconstruction Manager will develop cost estimates, review bids and provide insightful recommendations to the project team. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed cost estimates from conceptual design to construction cost.
• Review bid documents and compare estimates to the bids.
• Negotiate and award contracts to ensure the project is within budget.
• Create and maintain relationships with subcontractors.
• Identify value engineering opportunities.
• Provide preconstruction support to project managers.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Preconstruction and Estimating.
• Expertise in Concrete and Construction.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of state and local building codes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant estimating software.
