JOB SUMMARY
The Preconstruction Manager / Estimator creates and maintains budgets for medium and large projects and supports APM/PM with the subcontractor pricing and procurement process. The Construction Manager / Estimator may also develop project schedules, site logistics plans and support constructability reviews. This position has the guidance and support of the Regional Lead Preconstruction Manger and operates under the supervision of the Director of Preconstruction.

JOB SCOPE & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Primary Accountabilities
- Solicits subcontractor pricing
- Obtain budgets estimates, unit pricing and value engineering suggestions
- Support PM/APM with subcontractor procurement process
- Provide subject matter expertise, guidance and direction
- Advise and consult on subcontractor procurement plan, including consistent set up and use of templates
- Solicit feedback from PM/APM for process improvement opportunities
- Set up subcontractor Bid Evaluation estimate template
- Offer subcontractor feedback and recommendations to APM/PM
- Create and maintain estimate on medium to large sized projects such as

- Direct Work
- Facilitate and coordinate estimate reviews with Pankow team members
- Identify and explore value engineering solutions and options
- Create & review with project team Basis of Estimate
- Convert final estimate to CMiC upload file
Secondary Accountabilities
- Develop project schedule and site logistics plans during the proposal and Preconstruction phase
- Support constructability review
- Provide short term subcontractor procurement when resources are available
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Design-build delivery method
- Estimating
- Scheduling / construction planning
- Self-performed concrete knowledge preferred
Work Experience
- Five or more years of relevant jobsite and/or project management experience
