Job Summary:
Manage and support the Educators, create an environment of positivity, collaboration, and growth, and oversee the daily operations of the Educational program at SOI to ensure that each child receives the highest quality individualized education and support, adhering to State Licensing Guidelines in collaboration with the Leadership and Clinical team.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise the overall activities of the Preschool, aided by the guidance of the Program Director. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
The Preschool Director reports directly to the Program Director.

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
Supervise the overall activities of the Preschool, aided by the guidance of the Program Director. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Hire, engage, train, and develop a team of educators to be passionate and committed professionals.
- Manage Enrollment with Family Services, including facilitating parent tours, open house and providing support throughout the enrollment process and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain the curriculum in accordance with compliance and SOI standards.
- Manage and evaluate staff performance, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure that SOI's environment is safe, clean, and healthy and adheres to state licensing regulations, health and safety requirements, and other relevant laws by conducting Monthly walk-throughs.
- Maintain accurate records related to attendance, student progress, and other relevant information.
- Coordinate special events and trainings for the preschool in collaboration with Family Services & Program Director.
- Required to be present on-site from the opening to the closing of operations for the day.
- Provide coverage for teachers, including all responsibilities, when needed.
- Coordinate staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and compliance with licensing regulations.
- Collaborate with teachers to design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum.
- Organize and participate in parent-teacher conferences and events.
- Conduct regular observations to identify potential challenges. Communicate findings to the Program Director and work collaboratively with teachers and parents to address any behavioral or developmental concerns.
- Work closely with the Program Director or board to create long-term financial plans that align with the preschool's mission, vision, and educational goals.
- Ensure that budgetary guidelines are adhered to in collaboration with the Program Director and regularly identify areas for cost savings or efficiency improvements.
- Maintain a tranquil presence while prioritizing the team's welfare through servant leadership.
- Partner with the Clinical Director to streamline team communication, aiming for the best possible care for children.
The Preschool Director reports directly to the Program Director.
Qualifications:
- BA Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field with 24 ECE/CD units; + 6 units administration; + 2 units adult supervision and 3 Toddler units.
- 2+ years working with infants and toddlers with special needs in a home-based or classroom setting.
- 5+ years in a supervisory role, demonstrating effective leadership and management skills.
- Advanced competence in performing the duties and tasks of supervised employees.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and instructions, and proficient in writing reports, emails, and other documents.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and workflows effectively.
- Proficient in problem-solving and analytical thinking, able to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions, especially in high-pressure or emergency situations.
- Demonstrated ability to independently plan, organize, and manage projects.
- Versatile and flexible, willing to work within constantly changing priorities and a dynamic environment.
- Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
- Bend, reach and lift up to or above head
- May be required to lift up to 40 pounds
- Kneel or sit on floor for up to thirty minutes at a time while working with children
- Climb and descent stairways
- Ability to work in a moderate to loud environment
