JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provide Primary Care Provider services on-site at the Trapper Creek Job Corps Center to financially disadvantaged youth between the ages of 16 and 24 years of age.

****This opportunity is contingent upon a contract award****

DUTIES
  • Early identification and diagnosis of medical problems.
  • Intake examinations and medical treatment plans.
  • Provision of basic medical care.
  • Medical promotion, prevention, and education.
  • Maintain and keep confidential Student Health Records.
  • Treat acute conditions.
  • Treat minor conditions and episodic illness
  • Provide first aid, CPR, and other care within capabilities that do not require emergency care or specialized treatment.
  • Collaborate with Substance Abuse Counselor and Center Mental Health Counselor to prescribe Schedule II medications and discuss long-term medication management, as needed.
  • Promote and maintain a family planning program.
  • Manage and diagnose chronic conditions and create treatment plans for chronic care management for students with chronic conditions/disabilities.
  • Establish a specialty medical referral system for students who require special or emergent medical care.
  • Advise and assist the health education instructor in developing and implementing the Medical Health Education Program.


EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • (Required) Must have an active, unrestricted PA, NP, or Physicians license to practice independently in Montana.
  • (Required) Must possess prescriptive authority and provide proof of a DEA number.
  • (Required) Must maintain licensing requirements/certification/accreditation and required insurance coverage during the entire performance period.
  • (Required) Must agree to a criminal background check and drug testing.

WORK LOCATION:

  • Trapper Creek Job Corps Center in Darby, MT


HOURS OF OPERATION

  • 9hrs/week x 50 weeks/yr (flexible)


COMPENSATION

  • 55.00-65.00+ USD Hourly
