Description of Responsibilities:

As a Principal Consultant (Mining), you will have the opportunity to join one of the largest and most experienced mining teams globally, with a diverse cross-section of geologists and engineers.

The primary role of this position is to oversee and coordinate the efforts of subject matter experts during a feasibility study and the initial phase of construction. In this key role, you will serve as the central liaison between multiple stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. Based in Montreal, Quebec, this two-year position offers the opportunity to work closely with our SRK Ontario team, including colleagues in Sudbury and Toronto, on an impactful and high-profile project.

Nous sommes la recherche d'un(e) consultant(e) principal(e) (droit minier) pour tre bas Montral, Qubec.

Description des responsabilits :

En tant que consultant principal (exploitation minire), vous aurez l'occasion de vous joindre l'une des quipes minires les plus importantes et les plus exprimentes au monde, avec un chantillon diversifi de gologues et d'ingnieurs.

Le rle principal de ce poste est de superviser et de coordonner les efforts des experts en la matire pendant une tude de faisabilit et la phase initiale de la construction. Dans ce rle cl, vous servirez de liaison centrale entre les multiples parties prenantes, assurant une communication et une collaboration sans faille. Bas Montral, au Qubec, ce poste de deux ans offre l'occasion de travailler en troite collaboration avec notre quipe de SRK Ontario, y compris des collgues de Sudbury et de Toronto, sur un projet percutant et de grande envergure.

Essential Requirements:

• A minimum of an undergraduate degree in mining engineering or related field;
• At least 15 years of practical experience in mining engineering, operations and/or consulting;
• Professional registration with the Ordre des Gologues du Qubec (OGQ) or the Ordre des Ingnieurs du Qubec (OIQ);
• A high level of proficiency in both spoken and written French and English is required;
• Experience with iron ore mining in Canada, specifically in the area of mining, geology and processing.
• Sufficient knowledge of the main aspects of mineral projects to enable identification of study risks and opportunities;
• Demonstrated project management skills;
• Advanced level of interpersonal and collaboration skills; and
• High level of effective communication and leadership qualities while working in a team environment.

This position involves working within a multi-disciplinary team on a significant project nationally therefore some travel may form a part of the role.

Exigences essentielles :

• Diplme en gnie minier ou dans un domaine connexe ;
• Au moins 10 ans d'exprience pratique en gnie minier, en exploitation et/ou en consultation;
• Inscription professionnelle l'Ordre des gologues du Qubec (OGQ) ou l'Ordre des ingnieurs du Qubec (OIQ) ;
• Un niveau lev de matrise du franais et de l'anglais parls et crits est ncessaire pour ce poste ;
• Exprience de l'exploitation minire du minerai de fer au Canada, plus particulirement dans le domaine de l'exploitation minire, de la gologie et du traitement ;
• Connaissance suffisante des principaux aspects des projets miniers pour permettre l'identification des risques et des opportunits d'tude ;
• Comptences dmontres en gestion de projet ;
• Niveau avanc de comptences interpersonnelles et de collaboration ; et
• Niveau lev de communication efficace et de qualits de leadership tout en travaillant en quipe

Ce poste implique de travailler en quipes multidisciplinaires sur une gamme de projets tant au niveau national qu' l'tranger; les voyages nationaux et internationaux peuvent constituer une partie importante du rle.
