Job Purpose
The Client Relationship Management (CRM) team serves as the ambassador and primary relationship lead for IMCO's institutional clients and prospect relationships. Given the critical importance of client partners to IMCO, the CRM team leads core organizational initiatives and activities to enhance the client experience and serves as the client voice and advocate within IMCO. The CRM team also builds and cultivates relationships with prospective institutional clients in Ontario's public sector and oversees the onboarding and integration of new client relationships into IMCO.
Reporting to the Director, CRM, the Principal, Investment Reporting & Engagement will collaborate across functional teams and stakeholders, to coordinate the preparation of investment and performance reporting, investment strategy reviews, and other key client deliverables on a wide range of IMCO investment strategies, risk oversight and end-to-end solutions. The role will support client-facing relationship managers, contribute to the delivery of high-quality and timely reporting and service to IMCO's institutional clients. The incumbent will also work collaboratively with IMCO's investment, risk and portfolio construction teams to produce detailed, accurate and descriptive reports related to client investment portfolios.

As a Member of Our Team, You Will be Responsible For:
- Providing best-in-class investment and risk reporting, servicing, and support to IMCO's institutional clients
- Actively managing an existing client schedule of monthly, quarterly, and annual deliverables
- Collaborating with portfolio managers and other IMCO teams to coordinate and produce accurate and timely investment, performance reporting as well as other client deliverables
- Developing and maintaining a solid understanding of IMCO's range of investment, risk and operational offerings and solutions
- Developing high quality presentation materials for client meetings and supporting senior relationship managers while interfacing with IMCO clients in both virtual and in person meetings
- Staying on top of market developments and integrate market data and sentiment into reporting and ad hoc analyses.
- Gathering data and related information to quickly respond to client information requests.
- Partnering with IMCO's technology and data partners on various projects, including automation/standardization efforts and the evolution of reporting for clients.
- Constantly evaluating systems, processes and procedures for inefficiencies and making recommendations for improvement
- Collaboratively working within the Client Relationship Management team to establish long-standing trusted advisor partnerships with institutional clients through IMCO's CRM framework
What do you need to succeed?
- A Bachelor degree with emphasis on Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
- Investment related designation such as CFA, FRM, CIPM, CAIA etc. is preferred
- 8-10 years of experience working within the investment industry or other relevant field, preferably with an institutional asset manager.
- Proactive self-starter and the ability to work independently with a 'roll up the sleeves' attitude to drive excellence and achieve necessary tasks.
- Strong interest in the financial markets and investments
- Experience working with and manipulating large, complex data sets
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail
- Sharp control/risk mitigation mentality with ability to know when to raise issues
- Extraordinary client service skills, maturity, and autonomy in dealing directly with clients.
- Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment
- Strong relationship building, communication, and writing skills
- Technical skills must include a strong background and advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with other applications such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv Eikon, MS Access, and project management tools would also be considered an asset
