This position involves designing and implementing robust and scalable system architectures that support T-Mobile's strategic objectives. By ensuring system coherence and cutting-edge solutions, the Principal Architect significantly enhances operational efficiency and service delivery. Collaborating with various stakeholders, they lead the adoption of new technologies and methodologies that drive innovation across the organization. Base Pay Range: $123,800 - $223,300
Corporate Bonus Target: 20%
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance. Job Responsibilities:
- Designs and implements robust and scalable system architectures that align with T-Mobile's strategic objectives
- Ensures system coherence and integrates cutting-edge solutions to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery
- Collaborates with various stakeholders to lead the adoption of new technologies and methodologies
- Drives innovation across the organization through expert knowledge and leadership in system architecture
- Maintains T-Mobile's leadership in the telecommunications industry by leveraging advanced architectural practices
- Evaluates current technological trends and integrates them into strategic planning for system development
- Participate in other duties or projects as assigned by business management as needed
- Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or related discipline. (Required)
- 7-10+ years experience in business environment. (Required)
- 7-10+ years experience as software or systems architect, engineer, programmer. (Required)
- 4-7+ years experience in Kubernetes systems architecture and design, preferably with background Tanzu, Rancher, Openshift, Upstream K8s or other distributions of K8s. (Required)
- 4-7+ years experience in Kubernetes management technologies included but not limited to IAC, custom resources, network topology, ingress, egress, mesh, k8s security, HA/DR tools. (Required)
- 4-7+ years experience in architecture and design of Kubernetes and container platform on public cloud and on-prem bare metal. (Required)
