A Brief OverviewThe Principal Operations Learning Architect at PPL/RI/KY is a strategic, subject-matter expert reporting through the Director of Technical Training. They are tasked with analyzing, developing, delivering, and evaluating instructional initiatives that span a wide audience or have key impact on the business strategy; assuring a curriculum aligns with the goals of the strategic initiative; driving consensus on content with leadership in operations; developing the schedule and managing the projects; designing solutions in the best format possible; sourcing and coordinating with vendors; meeting the needs of the audience; and reporting metrics on the efficacy of the program.

Responsibilities
What you will do
- Work with the Director of Technical Training and operations leaders to understand the business need for improvement and craft curriculum solutions.
- Develop and lead and teach the Field Leadership program, led by Technical Training, that supplements the supervisory program. Strategize with Operations to address gaps they have identified with the field leadership.
- Be outcome-focused, monitoring results from learning and develop strategies to respond to emerging needs,trends, and feedback affecting operations. Work with operations leadership to design solutions, and revise schedules to adjust/tune those results. This will include leading the annual needs assessment and training plan and reporting on associated metrics.
- Design, develop, implement learning pathways that meet the strategic needs of the organization, are learner-centric, are engaging experiences, put concepts to practice, and align with instructional design principles.
- Develop business plans for the proposed solutions including budgets, schedules, and communications plans
- Identify, curate, and create content from various sources, maintaining regular reviews and improvements.

- This role is hybrid, on-site 3 days per week, at one of our Operating Companies in Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, or Kentucky. Must be willing to travel ~35% of the time to the other two Operating Companies.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree In Instructional Design, Education, or Knowledge Transfer, or a Degree in a relevant field and
- 12+ years years of experience in Instructional Design, Education and/or Knowledge transfer. With a significant concentration in developing complex operations curricula and instructional facilitation.
- 3+ years Project Management experience with increasing complexity, including complex schedules and vendor management
- Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to brief, communicate strategy to, and collaborate with various levels of leadership
- Adept in Instructional Design, delivery, and writing
- Proficient in MS Office Tools and instructional technology. Advanced Excel knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Significant experience in stakeholder alignment, especially in establishing learning requirements and in communicating roll-out strategies
- Technical experience or training in a technical field. e.g., engineering, utility (electric, oil, gas, generation), etc.
- Experience working with field leaders (e.g., field supervisors, field managers)
- Experience in generative AI
- Learning Management System Experience
- Change Management Experience/Certification
- Leadership experience
- Learning qualifications (e.g., Military Training & Education qualifications; Teaching Certificate; ATD/Training Mag/college/university certificates)
