Description:
Reporting directly to the Technical Product Management Director within the Information Technology (IT) Department, the Principal Product Manager serves as the most senior individual contributor on the product management team, leading the strategy and execution of the organization's highest-impact digital product(s). This role is responsible for defining and guiding product strategy and roadmaps, aligning outcomes, features, and functionality with the company's strategic goals and digital vision. The Principal Product Manager collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze customer needs, identify pain points, and define innovative solution opportunities that deliver measurable value. They translate these opportunities into actionable increments and features for development teams, driving delivery through agile methodologies. Additionally, the Principal Product Manager serves as a mentor and coach to other product managers and acts as a thought leader for the company's digital product operating model and enterprise-wide digital solutions.

Responsibilities:
- Drive product strategy for retail and enterprise digital solutions, identifying key opportunities to solve business challenges and drive value in retail marketing, product data management, and digital commerce.
- Champion a product-led culture, influencing product development across teams and aligning with company goals.
- Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and best practices, leveraging this knowledge to drive product innovation and improve solutions.
- Define, communicate, and maintain product strategy, roadmaps, and release plans, ensuring transparency and alignment across all business stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
- Document requirements and specifications of new features and drive adoption of new features by educating business users of new functionality.
- Measure value and impact of delivered solutions and features and continue to improve our product measurement processes and capabilities.
- Lead a customer-centric approach by gathering, organizing, and incorporating user feedback to inform future roadmaps and solution improvements.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships with business leaders and teams across departments to proactively align priorities, timelines, and communications.
- Prioritizes roadmap increments and backlog based on business value to ensure our roadmaps are delivering the highest impact and value.
- Ensures all product teams are executing agile frameworks effectively, and provide coaching, guidance, and improvements to ensure optimal agile execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field required; Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certifications preferred
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in product management, with a strong track record in digital and retail environments.
- Proven customer obsession with the ability to understand customer problems and pain points through both quantitative and qualitative customer research and identify insights and opportunities.
- Track record of delivering innovative digital products that drive measurable value and customer satisfaction.
- Strong ability to define product strategies, prioritize roadmaps based on outcomes, and lead teams toward delivering impactful solutions.
- Demonstrated initiative and desire to persist through obstacles and ambiguity, especially for complex problems and solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities.
- Analytical thinker with a data-driven mindset, using metrics to validate decisions and measure success.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership and the C-suite.
- Flexible work schedule, with availability for weekends, early mornings, and late evenings as needed.
