Main Functions

• Plans, designs and manages very complex construction, rehabilitation, and/or alteration of structures, facilities, equipment and/or other infrastructure systems.
• Coordinates the activities of assigned project staff and/or contractors in the design, development and implementation of very complex engineering projects.
• Develops standards and criteria for design and construction for very complex engineering projects.
• Develops, designs, proposals, schedules and cost estimates for assigned projects.
• Evaluates progress and results of engineering activity and recommends changes in procedures of assigned projects.
• Maintains liaison with individuals and units (internally and externally) to facilitate the completion of assigned projects.
• Manages the estimation of human and other resources needs and schedules work to meet completion dates and technical specifications

Education and Experience

• Baccalaureate Degree in the appropriate engineering discipline or equivalent, and six years of applied engineering experience, to include project management experience.
• Professional Engineer License in the state of New Jersey is required.
