Description:
The successful candidatewill lead efforts to leverage large-scale human genetic data to provide genetic support for therapeutic targets, refine patient stratification strategies, and drive target discovery and validation for the development of siRNA therapeutics. This candidate will also stay at the forefront of statistical genetics and data analytical methodologies to help shape the company's research strategy through data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities
- Conduct genome-wide association studies (GWAS, PheWAS, RVAS) at biobank scale to identify and validate therapeutic targets
- Perform post-GWAS analyses, such as fine mapping, colocalization, Mendelian randomization, and functional enrichment, to prioritize candidate genes and disease mechanisms
- Integrate statistical genetics findings with multi-omics data, including transcriptomics, proteomics, and functional genomics, to refine target identification and patient stratification strategies
- Develop and implement analytical pipelines for genetic data analysis, ensuring reproducibility and scalability in a cloud computing environment
- Manage large-scale genetic research projects, balancing long-term discovery efforts with time-sensitive requests
- Collaborate cross-functionally with wet-lab biologists, computational scientists, and program teams to translate genetic findings into therapeutic strategies
Qualifications
- PhD in statistical genetics, genetic epidemiology, or related field with 6-8 years experience
- Strong foundational knowledge of statistical and population genetics
- Experience with commonly used statistical packages for genetic studies (e.g. PLINK, regenie, etc)
- Proficiency in R and Python
- Experience using UK Biobank Research Analysis Platform and All of Us Researcher Workbench
