System One is currently seeking a
Principle Engineer (hybrid) on a 3 year contract position located in Atlanta, GA.

Principle Engineer Responsibilities:

• Responsible for leading and managing projects that create and implement new GIS (Geographic information Systems) processes to support Transmission and Large Pipeline business units.
• This role will involve working closely with various business units, stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure that GIS processes are effectively integrated and optimized for operational excellence.
• Lead and manage Large Pipeline related GIS projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards.
• Collaborate with Transmission and Large Pipeline Operating business units to understand their data requirements and operational needs.
• Develop and implement new GIS processes to support the integration and management of Transmission and Large Pipeline data.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, and operations, to ensure seamless incorporation of GIS processes.
• Create detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders, highlighting any issues or changes in scope.
• Facilitate training sessions and workshops for end-users to ensure effective utilization of new GIS processes and tools.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in GIS and pipeline operations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to GIS data management and pipeline operations.

Principle Engineer Requirements:

• 5-10 years of related experience
• An accredited bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Master's degree is a plus.
• Professional engineering license is a plus.
• Experience in Utility or Pipeline Industry is required.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Duration: 3 years

Location: Atlanta, GA

Pay Rate:

Level 1-
$68/hr

Level 2- $72/hr

Level 3- $79/hr

This is a hybrid position which requires Monday - Thursday in office.
