Harkcon, Inc. is seeking a highly organized and experienced Privacy Project Manager (PM) to lead a team of Privacy Analysts in support of a gov't client's needs regarding privacy initiatives and ensuring compliance with federal regulations. This position involves managing a team of seven (7) Privacy Analysts as the team completes privacy-focused projects and tasks for a federal client, coordinating stakeholders, and delivering results aligned with privacy laws and agency standards.

Harkcon, Inc. is seeking a highly organized and experienced Privacy Project Manager (PM) to lead a team of Privacy Analysts in support of a gov't client's needs regarding privacy initiatives and ensuring compliance with federal regulations. This position involves managing a team of seven (7) Privacy Analysts as the team completes privacy-focused projects and tasks for a federal client, coordinating stakeholders, and delivering results aligned with privacy laws and agency standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage privacy-related projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Directly support the federal privacy officer as an advisor to provide expertise in all aspects of privacy.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including legal, IT, program offices, and compliance teams, regarding privacy initiatives.
- Serve as the primary liaison to the client agency, ensuring all deliverables and deadlines are met.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and risk assessments.
- Facilitate project meetings and present status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
- Identify, mitigate, and escalate project risks and issues, providing timely resolutions.
- Implement project management best practices to enhance team productivity and project efficiency.
- Track and manage individual performance of the team members.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members on privacy practices and project management techniques.
- Approximately 80% focus on PM responsibilities and 20% focus on assisting team members with privacy tasks

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required
- Master's degree or Juris Doctorate preferred
- 15+ years of professional experience
- 10+ years of experience in privacy related work (privacy experience in federal government is a plus)
- 5+ years of project management experience
- Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) preferred
- Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of privacy laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Successfully meet DHS security eligibility requirements for the position.
Location:
- At present, this is a telework position with a requirement to attend a quarterly, in-person, all hands meeting at DHS HQ in DC.
