Summary:

Working cross-functionally, the Private Label Manager will support the company's strategic initiative to grow in-house development and private label by accelerating supply chain improvements and direct import vendor engagement. The candidate will play a significant role in supporting the Director of Private Label and Cross Functional Teams to drive strategies and initiatives to determine how we work best with our vendors to rapidly accelerate our private label business at GameStop.

This position will be the key internal link between all internal and external stakeholders including Private Label and Services, Product Development, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Logistics, A/P, Supply Chain, Global Trade Compliance, Product Set-Up & Integrity, Vendors and Sourcing Agents for all products being manufactured and vendor relations issues. Will interact with his or her supervisor as needed by either. Most activities are completed without a supervisor's advance approval. This role is generally characterized by moderately high levels of scope and complexity, and high levels of independent decision making.

This position sits onsite in Grapevine, TX 5 days a week.

Responsibilities:
  • Key partner for internal structure and management of Private Label products from end to end to ensure smooth delivery of goods and accurate system information is maintained.
  • Forecast and Ladder Plan Core SKUS and give guidance to planning ensuring we maintain 'In Stock' levels in our DC to maintain sales forecasts.
  • Create SKU's for Online and Pre-Order following processes and guidelines set forth by the 'Online' team along with copy and web ready images needed to 'go live' according to the launch plans of PL Items.
  • Lead specific project(s) to drive process and tech solutions to address gaps in product set-up partnering with the SAP and PIM Teams
  • Maintain SKU Level Set-Up, Online Set-Up and Pricing and Promotional Planning
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve tools and productivity as opportunities arise.
  • Work with Logistics Team to oversee goods arrivals and changes in shipping timelines to maintain inventory levels and raise awareness to challenged SKUs
  • Update and Maintain the Import Tracker to share with cross-functional teams
  • Liaise with vendors to gain key information related to AIR freight booking requests on an as needed' basis
  • Function as the liaison with vendor and Private Label team on Purchase Order Updates, ETA changes and Ex-Factory changes
  • Manage Supplier Set-Up onboarding process from initiation to completion working with legal and compliance to successfully expand the vendor network.
  • Work collaboratively with others to achieve goals, simplify processes, reduce costs, prevent loss, and to ensure that work is completed safely, accurately, and on time.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience within sourcing required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with a major retailer or company in areas of global sourcing and supply chain or merchandising.
  • Experience with Private Label and knowledge of global import and export, as well as international logistics.
  • High attention to detail, comfortable with "hands-on" management of tasks, and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated data-driven decision making or quantitative analysis skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in product lifecycle management with a specific capability in global sourcing.
  • This associate must possess strong leadership, business knowledge, technical abilities and financial acumen
  • Proficient knowledge of Windows-based business computers and Microsoft Office programs; specifically, Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word
  • Proficient ability to develop and deliver compelling, potentially complex presentations to leaders of varied levels throughout the organization.
  • Proficient relationship building skills, including the capacity to predict and manage behavior, build and leverage cross-functional partnerships within and outside of the organization, and leverage influential leadership.
  • Proficient ability to solve functional problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
