Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Lead and manage a territory-based ProAV sales team to drive business growth.
Develop and implement strategies to exceed sales targets and expand Optoma's customer base.
Achieve assigned sales goals and contribute to the company's overall objectives.
Build strong, professional relationships with key stakeholders in partner accounts.
Recruit, educate, and mentor the sales team to achieve their targets.
Coordinate the involvement of company teams, such as support, service, technical, and management, to ensure successful partner performance and customer satisfaction.
Stay informed about industry trends and report on shifts in account strategies and budget allocations.
Accurately forecast sales and develop strategies to adapt to market changes.
Evaluate and analyze the effectiveness of sales strategies, methods, costs, and outcomes.
Develop and manage both sales and marketing budgets, as well as internal operating budgets.
Set and implement both short- and long-term goals, objectives, and policies to support and grow the ProAV channel.
Manage potential conflicts within sales channels, ensuring effective communication and adherence to engagement rules.
Recommend and enforce policies to streamline operations.
Perform other duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
College/University degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in technology sales, with previous experience in the Commercial AV market being highly desirable.
Established relationships with key ProAV resellers and integrators.
Proven experience in strategic planning, execution, and senior-level P&L management.
Demonstrated success in managing a technology product sales business.
Strong knowledge in setting sales quotas and revenue expectations.
Excellent professional communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
Ability to inspire and motivate teams to meet objectives, lead by example, and take a hands-on approach.
Willingness to travel as needed for customer visits, team mentoring, trade shows, and management meetings.
