YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the Mill Maintenance Superintendent you will be part of the Process Plant Maintenance Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Ownership of technical hardware and software issues related to process control and automation systems, including regulatory control, PLC's (programmable logic controller), process monitoring, data historian, communication networks and HMI's (human-machine interface)
- Providing process control and PLC hands-on expertise and apply advanced analytical and troubleshooting skill to assist operations, maintenance and technical personnel identify and solve day-to-day production problems
- Providing assistance to the plant training group with the development of training material and SOP's
- Ensuring controls are aligned with plant optimization direction
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a specialization in Process Control or a trades qualification
- 3 years' of experience as a Process Control Engineer in mineral processing
- Hands-on expertise in VPO (pre-operational verification) and PLC programming and equipment startup (knowledge of Schneider Modicon Quantum PLC hardware and Unity Pro programming platform is considered an asset)
- Expertise in Ethernet communication and SCADA programming (knowledge of Schneider Citect HMI and OSIsoft PI data historian and Process Book is considered an asset)
