About the role
- Our Process Control team, composed of 4 people, is integrated within the Surface Maintenance department.
- As a Process Control Technician, your responsibility will be supporting and maintaining all plant control systems, configuring and starting up capital projects, troubleshooting instrumentation and electrical systems.
- You will be accountable for:
- Follow safety procedures, observe safe working practices and maintain a safe work environment.
- Develops and supports the Yokogawa DCS, which includes communication networks using serial, ethernet, wireless and fiber optic systems.
- Respond to plant process control emergencies, troubleshooting problems and take actions to ensure plant availability and integrity,
- Provide technical support to engineering, production and I/E departments in the troubleshooting and more difficult plant instrumentation and control issues.

- We offer permanent employment based onsite, working a 4/10 schedule.
About you
- High School Diploma.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in instrumentation and electrical systems.
- Competencies:
- Prior experience in chemical plant environment and knowledge of process safety requirements.
- Individuals must successfully pass the I/E candidate screening test if current job classification is not Surface I/E Maintenance Mechanic A or B (I/E).
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Previous PLC and/or DCS experience is not required.

About the pay and benefits
- Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the USA base pay reasonably expected for this role is $85,000/yr to $115,000/yr, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
