Location: The Process Data Analytics Engineer is an onsite position based in Dallas, TX, with approximately 10% travel required to meet business needs.
Your Role
The Formulations business unit is dedicated to enabling digital transformation to enhance quality, efficiency, and decision-making processes. As a Process Data Analytics Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our digital transformation strategy by driving innovative digital solutions to optimize manufacturing processes and ensure the highest levels of quality for our customers. You will be instrumental in enhancing our operational efficiency and productivity through data-driven insights, developing, and implementing solutions that address complex business challenges, enhancing quality, and reducing costs. You will support high-impact projects and initiatives, including new product introductions, product transfers, and process change notifications.

Your Role

You will be instrumental in enhancing our operational efficiency and productivity through data-driven insights, developing, and implementing solutions that address complex business challenges, enhancing quality, and reducing costs. You will support high-impact projects and initiatives, including new product introductions, product transfers, and process change notifications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leverage chemical engineering principles and domain expertise to drive process optimization, reduce scrap, and improve quality and efficiency.
- Utilize statistics and machine learning to extract valuable insights from complex manufacturing and quality data and drive process improvement initiatives.
- Develop automated, end-to-end data pipelines that enable seamless downstream analytics, reporting, and visualizations.
- Lead the design and implementation of data analytics projects-including data collection, analysis, and interpretation-while standardizing digital solutions to enhance planning, process monitoring, and root-cause investigation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of analytics initiatives with business objectives and best practices.
- Serve as the first line of defense for advanced data analytics within Formulations operations, effectively addressing quality issues and customer complaints.
- Own and enhance digital solutions, acting as the primary technical point of contact for users.
- Facilitate the adoption of digital tools through upskilling, training, and engagement initiatives.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field with 5+ years of experience using data engineering, data science, and/or data analytics to drive improvements in quality and productivity for manufacturing operations.
OR
- Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field with 3+ years of experience using data engineering, data science, and/or data analytics to drive improvements in quality and productivity for manufacturing operations.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Python and SQL.
- Working knowledge of multivariate statistical analysis and applied machine learning concepts.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English, with the ability to convey data-driven solutions to non-technical users.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD in Chemical Engineering or a related field with 3+ years of experience using data engineering, data science, and/or data analytics to drive improvements in quality and productivity for manufacturing operations.
- Demonstrated experience building end-to-end data pipelines, dashboards, and custom applications using analytics and business intelligence platforms such as Palantir Foundry, AWS, and Tableau.
- Ability to quickly understand complex data architectures and use data and analytics to drive effective decision-making.
- Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset, capable of working collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
