POSITION SUMMARY
The role of the process engineer is to help bring new products and processes to the shop floor. The process engineer works closely with the Product Development design teams to enable breakthroughs in innovation speed, efficiency and capability.

QUALIFICATIONS
The starting target salary range is $85,000 - $93,000, depending upon qualifications and experience. Expanded pay ranges may be available for growth and advancement opportunities. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for a profit-sharing opportunity. Additionally, for eligible full-time employees, we offer a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits; vacation and paid holidays; 401(k) retirement plan and employee stock ownership plan.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Development of new processes: Evaluates current manufacturing capabilities and helps implement new processes when required.
- Development of new products: Works closely with product development designers on project, provide direction on prototypes/pilot runs/1st articles, and interaction with production employees on requirements.
- Team member on various lean improvement projects: Actively involved in Kaizen/Lean events, internal audits, action items, various engineering projects.
- Works on some complex tasks/projects individually
- Work may be directed by others (supervisor, production supervisors, product development, etc.)
- Plan and implement preventive and corrective actions for reducing scrap, rework and down time
- Understand and support ISO and quality
- Typically requires 3 to 7 years of related experience.
ATTRIBUTES
- Evaluates production equipment capabilities in meeting product requirements
- Understands Lean manufacturing concepts and applies them when analyzing workflow and space requirements
- Processes ECO's, routings, and other product data in a timely, productive manner
- Solid mechanical aptitude
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Work as a team player
QUALIFICATIONS
- B.S degree in engineering or related field 4-year degree from an accredited university and 4+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principals and tools
