Job Description

The purpose of this position is to provide Process Technology engineering and technical support for intermediate systems with moderate complexity.
Perform broad range of process engineering technology assignments
Plan and conduct work in evaluation, selection and application of standard process engineering techniques, procedures and criteria
Periodically review work of others to assure overall quality of process designs
Contact and consult with other engineering disciplines within the Company in addition to process engineers and supervisors
Understand and follow the effort-hours budget and process schedule
Support execution of the Quality Plan to ensure that work product meets defined requirement and standards, as needed
Contribute value awareness concepts to Process Design to positively impact project economics
Prepare the Process Design Basis (PDB)
Perform process and economic studies for more complex systems
Prepare process design specifications containing all components necessary to satisfy contract
requirements: process description, process design basis, configuration and other studies, Heat
and Material Balance (H&MB), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Material Selection Diagrams (MSD),
process equipment specifications, process equipment lists, instrument data, relief valve data,
contingency analysis, relief loads, catalyst chemical summaries, emission summaries,
safeguarding memorandum
Participate in bid tab evaluations for equipment; check vendor data for equipment
Assist with development of turnover packages
Prepare operating guidelines for the operating manual
Work with environmental specialist or group to define environmental requirements and/or
define consequences/blast/dispersion modeling
Participate in plot plan review and Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) reviews in regard to plant
safety/operability/Safety Integrity Level (SIL) assignment
Support work sharing activities to leverage core competencies and to enhance commercial
strategies
Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying
complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely
manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines
Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff
Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job
May need to travel to attend to business related matters
Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality
Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements
Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and five (5) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
