- The Bilingual Procurement Manager functions as the primary point of contact between suppliers and our business. They are responsible for the procurement of products and goods for use by this client's product by identifying potential supplier sources, screening them and negotiating favorable payment terms.
- The Procurement Manager is responsible for monitoring supplier performance and ensuring contractual obligations are met. The Procurement Manager will also manage multiple projects in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment.
- Essential Functions :
- Develop and implement local procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Identify and onboard reliable local suppliers for raw materials, components, equipment, and services.
- Ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality and compliance with industry standards.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve optimal cost savings.
- Evaluate, select, and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure a stable supply chain.
- Conduct supplier performance assessments and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mitigate supply chain risks by developing alternative sourcing strategies.
- Monitor market trends and analyze cost structures to optimize procurement expenses.
- Implement cost reduction initiatives while ensuring timely availability of materials.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with corporate policies and local regulations.
- Oversee proper documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier agreements.
- Manage audits and risk assessments to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Minimum 5-8 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's Degree required, master's degree in purchasing management preferred
- Must be fluent in both English and Korean
- Competent with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (v-lookups and pivot tables).
- Clear and concise communication skills.
- Prioritization, able to shift focus to urgent issues while not falling behind on other duties.
- Authorized to working in U.S.
- A good attitude and ability to work in a team setting, well organized and good follow up skills.
- Can create and maintain professional relationships with customers and carriers.
