Description:

A company at Schriever SFB in Colorado Springs, CO is looking for a Procurement Manager to join their team full-time. This Manager will supervise a team of buyers and manage material planning and buying of approximately $50 million of purchases annually across 15+ active task orders in a complex organization.

They will be responsible for:
- Leadership and Management: Drive sustained superior performance; develop and manage communication and integration among stakeholders; and oversee the hiring, training, delivery, and leadership development of a team of buyers.
- Operations: Maintain Purchasing System approval and ensure the procurement systems and processes meet contract and corporate objectives; manage policies, procedures and provide effective audit support.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrate initiative and insightful analysis across diverse organizations and missions; make independent judgments for the planning, prioritizing and organizing of a diversified workload; and address complex challenges and drive solutions that may require extensive organizational integration.
- Customer Relations: Maintain the highest levels of fairness and business ethics; interface with internal and government stakeholders; and establish transparent and trusting business relationships.

This position will be onsite at Schriever SFB on a hybrid schedule, 2-3 days/week. The salary range for this role is $142,000-167,000, and takes into account years of experience, clearance and certifications. Because this is a permanent opportunity, the company is able to offer a competitive salary along with benefits and strong company culture. This role requires an Active Secret Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain.

Required Skills & Experience
- 6-8+ years of direct experience in supply chain fields
- 3-5+ years of experience in management or leadership roles
- Ability to lead a team of buyers in a complex enterprise environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with federal regulations and processes
- Active Secret Clearance, or the ability to obtain

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Degree in supply chain or business management
- Certification(s) in Lean Six Sigma, Defense Acquisition, and/or Federal Acquisition Development Program
- Experience with DCMA approved procurement systems
- Experience with IT hardware and software procurement
- Direct supervision of at least 10 people
