Procurement Manager (On-side - KC Metro):

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the full procurement lifecycle, including sourcing strategy, supplier selection, contract execution, and ongoing vendor performance management.

• Serve as a trusted strategic partner to internal stakeholders, guiding them through purchasing decisions, budget alignment, and operational needs.
• Monitor market trends and supply chain dynamics to anticipate risks and identify new sourcing opportunities.
• Design and enforce procurement policies and workflows that ensure transparency, accountability, and regulatory compliance.
• Build and manage a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, training, and continuous improvement.
• Deliver actionable insights through data analysis and spend reporting-ensuring financial stewardship and long-term value creation.
• Engage with regional business partners and industry peers to expand supplier diversity and unlock innovation through competitive sourcing.

What You Bring:

• A bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Public Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of progressive leadership experience in procurement or supply chain management, ideally in complex or regulated environments.
• Recognized certifications such as CPPB, CPPO, NIGP-CPP, CPSM, or equivalent preferred.
• Expertise in sourcing strategies, contract negotiation, and supplier performance frameworks.
• Solid understanding of procurement technology platforms and analytics tools.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills-you're comfortable leading negotiations, building consensus, and presenting to executives.
• A solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities, resolve conflicts, and navigate ambiguity with confidence.
• Demonstrated success in building and scaling procurement operations that align with both compliance and innovation goals.
