Job Description
Roland Berger is looking for Project Managers specializing in Procurement to join our Auto team based in our Chicago or Detroit offices. The responsibilities of today's procurement functions go well beyond achieving cost reduction. Procurement today is in the driver's seat to ensure quality, availability and cost competitiveness, but also to enable innovation, drive sustainability and facilitate resilient supply chains.
As a Project Manager you will directly interact with clients at leadership level and guide module teams. From the start, you are considered an entrepreneur in our company. We encourage you to show initiative, think creatively and take responsibility.

The estimated base salary for this role is $215,000. This estimate reflects the best estimate at the time of this posting, and does not guarantee any specific salary for this position. It is important to note that at Roland Berger, individual salaries are determined on a case-by-case basis based on experience, education, office location, start date and organizational needs. Roland Berger will review your performance at least annually and may adjust your salary in its sole discretion
This role is eligible for additional compensation, and is eligible for an annual bonus.

Key Responsibilities
- Manages client projects with primary responsibility for client satisfaction, team excellence, and delivery on time and to budget
- Manages day to day client relations and builds long-term relationships with client
- Structures the problem-solving process and develops project schedules, assigns work to team members
- Leads team members and provides on the job training and coaching
- Controls project budget. Supports lead generation and project acquisition with proposal preparation and presentation
- Prepares and participates in plant tours and management presentations
- Provides topical expertise and intellectual leadership to project teams
- Develops intellectual capital in targeted areas as part of our thought leadership initiatives
- Contributes to the development and management of the practice through involvement in, for example, recruitment, training, and marketing
- Travels to client locations

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- MBA or Masters degree in Supply Chain required
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively more responsible experience in the following areas in the management consulting field:
- Experience in strategic sourcing and should cost analysis
- Supply market analysis
- Vendor research and identification
- Vendor qualifications
- RFx
- Bid analysis
- Vendor allocation & scenario planning
- Negotiations and contract analysis
