Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring that all materials and services are acquired efficiently and cost-effectively. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management, contract negotiation, and supplier management. The Procurement Specialist will work closely with various departments to align procurement strategies with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company objectives.
• Manage the entire procurement process, from sourcing suppliers to contract negotiation and execution.
• Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations and internal policies.
• Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to forecast demand and manage inventory levels effectively.
• Conduct supplier evaluations and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure quality and reliability of supplies.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
• Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify potential opportunities for cost savings or improved efficiencies.
• Prepare reports on procurement activities, including spend analysis and supplier performance metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in procurement management or supply chain roles.
• Strong knowledge of contract negotiation processes and supplier management practices.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar procurement software is a plus.
• Understanding of logistics principles and practices within the supply chain context.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex data sets.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration across departments.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
