Description:
As a Product Designer at Alida, you will be a key driver in shaping the user experience and visual design of our innovative research platform. You will own the end-to-end design process, from understanding user needs and business objectives to delivering intuitive and impactful solutions. This role requires a versatile individual with a strong blend of UI/UX skills, strategic thinking, market awareness, and business acumen to ensure our product consistently meets and exceeds user expectations while aligning with Alida's goals.

Responsibilities:
- Own and drive the entire design process, integrating both user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) considerations for assigned product areas.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements, product strategy, and market opportunities, translating them into user-centered design solutions.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, best practices, and opportunities for differentiation.
- Contribute to product strategy discussions by providing user insights and design perspectives.
- Plan and execute comprehensive user research activities, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and data analysis, to deeply understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
- Analyze user research data and insights to identify key opportunities, inform design decisions, and advocate for the user.
- Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and component libraries to ensure visual consistency and efficiency across the product.
- Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes (low to high fidelity), and visual designs to effectively communicate and test design concepts.
- Ensure seamless developer handoff by collaborating closely with engineering teams to guarantee accurate and high-quality implementation of designs.
- Champion user-centered design principles and advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Monitor and analyze user feedback, usage data, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for design improvement and iterate on solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, technologies, and best practices in both UI and UX.
- Manage individual project timelines and deliverables effectively to ensure timely and successful completion of design initiatives.
Desired Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in product design, encompassing both UI and UX responsibilities, preferably in a SaaS or enterprise software environment.
- A compelling portfolio showcasing a strong understanding of user-centered design principles, exceptional high-fidelity UI design, and effective interactive experiences.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements and user research into impactful design solutions.
- Solid experience with Figma and other modern design and prototyping tools.
- Experience contributing to and utilizing scalable design systems.
- Proficiency in designing responsive and adaptive experiences across web and potentially mobile platforms.
- Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices (WCAG compliance).
- Familiarity with front-end development principles (HTML/CSS concepts are a plus).
- Proven experience leveraging user research, usability testing, and potentially A/B testing to inform and validate design decisions.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive and self-driven approach with the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
