This position is responsible for the oversight and coordination of various projects related to the development, manufacturing, and distribution of firearms. This person will be responsible for planning and executing project timelines, managing budgets, coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and the successful completion of new product projects. The Project Manager's function is to enable program success through the alignment of people and the removal of roadblocks. The Project Manager will champion programs of varying complexity from inception to realization through task leadership, tracking, and timely stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will have experience with Gearfire or similar platforms

The Project Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring projects align with organizational goals, meet quality standards, and are delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities
  • This pivotal role will lead cross-functional teams through our Product Development Process, from concept development through launch and commercialization.
  • The role has high visibility, with presentations to the executive leadership team to communicate project status, risks, and other key program metrics.
  • Lead multifaceted cross-functional teams, encompassing Design, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Compliance, Quality, and Purchasing.
  • Guide through the product development journey, ensuring project success and aligning with business objectives.
  • Develop and uphold project plans, schedules, risk registers, budgets, and resource allocation for designated projects.
  • Champion timely and effective communication, continuously updating stakeholders on the project's advancement.
  • Keep all stakeholders informed with clear, concise updates on project progress, key milestones, and any issues, especially in the context of Gearfire-based solutions.
  • Manage project meetings, meticulously document meeting minutes and pivotal decisions, and diligently track action items.
  • Foster harmony between the project team, the business, and other stakeholders
  • Integrate input early in process development and quality planning.
  • Establish robust channels for both formal and informal communication, relaying accurate and current information to all stakeholders.
  • Organize and guide a diverse array of distributed, cross-functional resources toward triumphant outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for prominent leaders and stakeholders spanning the organization.
  • Engage stakeholders, ensuring their involvement in shaping end products and processes that effectively address business challenges.
  • Contribute to project prioritization decisions by offering data-driven insights and analysis derived from ongoing and previous projects.
  • Research projects as required.
  • Attend trade shows and events as necessary.
  • Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Support and adhere to all ISO standards applicable to the Company.
  • Wear all necessary Personal Protective Equipment directed by the Company at all times.
  • Demonstrate a complete working knowledge of firearms safety.
  • Maintain and keep workstation and department area clean.
  • Immediately report any maintenance and/or safety issues to Management.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude toward co-workers, other departments, and the Company.
  • Maintain respect, courtesy and professionalism toward all co-workers and the Company.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers and management.
  • Actively participate and support the 5S process within the work area on a daily basis.
  • Other duties will be assigned as required.

Qualifications & Knowledge Required

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or relevant scientific discipline
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
  • PMP Certification or other PMI certification preferred
  • Specific experience using Gearfire tools and platforms.
  • Expert skills with Microsoft Project and critical chain analysis
  • Experience with ProChain scheduling methodology
  • Expert skills with managing project plan, scope, schedule, budget, and risk register
  • Lean/Six Sigma Certification preferred
  • Experience leading diverse and complex projects and programs and coordinating multiple teams to execute concurrent, interdependent projects
  • Knowledge of R&D, product development, developing requirements, and implementing risk management activities like failure mode analysis
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and able to influence all customers (both internal and external) on issues that impact the business and its technical service and product strategies
  • Expert active listening skills with a keen awareness for various messaging styles; and polished ability to tailor delivery to a broad range of audiences
  • Exceptional influencing and interpersonal skills, negotiating; managing change; goal setting; planning and organizing teamwork; ability to address difficult situations; conflict resolution; resource constraint and problem solving
  • Experience participating in internal and external audits as a Subject Matter Expert
