The Opportunity:

As an Air Solutions Product Manager, you will provide voice of the customer and market context to development and delivery teams to drive business growth. This is done by crafting the right product initiatives for the future (Strategy) and working with development and support teams to build what has been aligned to by business leaders (Product Planning).

Product Strategy:
  • Identify market opportunities through voce of customer/industry and identify product gaps and opportunities for growth within product line
  • Develop business cases to drive requests to fill product gaps and provide requirements for factory developed equipment and controls products
  • Work cross functionally to identify strategic product needs, evaluate concept feasibility, and requirements to align on Product Road Map (PRM)
  • Develop strategy and educate the organization on strategy for related products and features and their application.

Product Planning:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on product pricing and positioning strategies to maximize market competitiveness and profitability.
  • Translate product strategies into detailed requirements and prototypes that meet customer needs and business goals.
  • Serve as voice of the market in go to market product rollout and phase down.
  • Manage need to know communications/announcements with the field including product updates, product/accessory inclusions/exclusions, feature upgrades, new product availability, end of life, etc.
  • Provide oversight of go-to-market and end-of-life for products within product line.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer of new and existing products across the organization including Sales, Service, Training, Marketing, and Product Support.

Regulatory and Compliance:
  • Ensure NPI's meet current and upcoming certification and code requirements
  • Keep track of industry developments in government regulation, national and local code, and overall industry movement to ensure alignment of product with regulations, codes and standards through industry organizations and involvement in other key areas
  • Track developments within industry, government, national, and local codes (e.g., ASHRAE, AHRI, DOE, EPA) and other standards that will impact product strategies


Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Leadership - Demonstrated ability to have a proactive mindset with desire to take initiative towards improving products and processes, proactively communicate with others.
  • 5+ years of related experience in marketing, product management, or strategic consulting/
  • Strategic foundation in aligns unmet customer and market pain points with business goals/
  • Voice of customer
  • Market analysis
  • Competitive positioning
  • Business case development
  • Road mapping
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize through multi-generational product plans (MGPP).
  • Demonstrated use of New Product Introduction (NPI) within a stage-gate framework.
  • Comfortable presenting to and engaging with multiple audiences.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles.
