Role & Responsibilities
- Define and communicate the product strategy and roadmap aligned with the company's vision and strategy.
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs and market trends within the Canadian and North American fintech landscape.
- Work directly with a cross-functional team of engineers to deliver value often.
- Spend time with customers to discover new product ideas, identify product improvements, and validate product solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to understand the value, feasibility, viability, and usability of solutions.
- Create and manage product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Prioritize product features and requirements based on customer value and business impact.
- Work closely with product marketing and sales to launch new products to customers in Toronto and beyond.
- Monitor product performance and use quantitative and qualitative insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all product-related inquiries.
Requirements
- Experience building products that customers love within the fintech space, particularly in Canada or North America.
- A strong drive to make a difference and the desire to fully own your product roadmap.
- A detail-oriented approach with a passion for understanding the mechanics of your product and the data behind it.
- Comfort working closely with financial, risk, and legal stakeholders, ensuring products are designed in a user-centric way while remaining compliant with Canadian regulatory standards.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams alongside engineers, designers, and other functions to deliver value to users.
- A good understanding of technical concepts and the ability to work closely with engineers to find the best solution to a problem.
- A creative and innovative problem-solving mindset.
