About the Role

As a Product Manager at InvestCloud, you will play a critical role in setting the vision, defining the roadmap, and overseeing all aspects of the product lifecycle. You will be responsible for understanding market trends, gathering competitive intelligence, conducting market research, and collaborating with various stakeholders to develop and execute product strategies that meet customer needs and drive business growth. Leveraging market insights, you will identify potential partnerships, integrations, or acquisitions to enhance product offerings. You will act as the primary point of contact for client engagement, gathering feedback, and managing expectations.

What does a great Product Manager do?

A successful Product Manager at InvestCloud will excel in external-facing interactions, engaging with clients, prospects, and partners to understand their requirements and gather feedback to continuously enhance our offerings. You will demonstrate a deep knowledge of the company's propositions, products, or services and stay abreast of industry trends, the competitive landscape, and regulatory changes impacting the alternative investment space. Taking ownership of the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept to launch and beyond, you will ensure that our products not only meet but exceed market demands and client expectations.

How you will provide meaningful contributions:

Product Management:
  • Take ownership of the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept to launch and maintenance.
  • Define and prioritize product features and requirements, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (such as engineering, design, sales, and finance) to prioritize product initiatives based on market demand, customer feedback, and business goals.
  • Develop and communicate product roadmaps that align with the company's overall strategy.
  • Conduct user testing and gather feedback to iterate and improve product functionality and user experience.
  • Collaborate with product marketing, sales and account management to drive adoption and consumption of product capabilities, identifying specific product experience enhancements to drive acquisition and expansion.

Market Research and Competitive Intelligence:
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes impacting the digital wealth management space.
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, assess customer needs, and understand user behavior and preferences.
  • Gather and analyze competitive intelligence to inform product positioning, differentiation, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Leverage market insights to identify potential partnerships, integrations, or acquisitions to enhance product offerings.

Stakeholder Management and Client Engagement:
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, customer success, Product Owners, and engineering teams, to align product strategies with business goals.
  • Present product updates, roadmaps, and business cases to senior leadership and stakeholders to drive alignment and support.
  • Develop strong relationships with key clients to understand their needs and gather feedback for product improvements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client engagement, gathering feedback, and managing expectations.

ROI Analysis and Performance Tracking:
  • Conduct ROI analysis to evaluate the financial impact of product investments and guide resource allocation decisions.
  • Monitor and report on product performance, including revenue growth, customer adoption, user engagement, and customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Identify opportunities for product optimization, enhancements, and feature updates based on data-driven insights.

Collaboration with Product Marketing and Sales:
  • Partner with the product marketing team to define go-to-market strategies, positioning, messaging, and target customer segments.
  • Provide product insights and market intelligence to support the development of marketing collateral, sales enablement materials, and competitive analysis.
  • Work closely with product marketing to ensure alignment between product features, benefits, and the overall marketing strategy.
  • Collaborate on product launches, campaigns, and promotional activities to drive product awareness and adoption.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements, competitive landscape, and market trends to effectively position and sell the product.
  • Provide product training and support to the sales team, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and tools to effectively communicate the value proposition to prospects and customers.
  • Act as a subject matter expert during sales meetings, addressing technical and product-related inquiries, and effectively articulating product features, benefits, and value proposition.

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
  • 8+ years of financial services industry experience with 5+ years of focus on alternatives in product development/management or related function.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities with the capability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and manage competing priorities.
  • Experience in design thinking principles and customer experience design
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and product management tools (such as Jira).
  • Understanding of wealth management, financial technology, or related fields.
  • Experience collaborating with product marketing teams to define marketing strategies and supporting collateral.
  • Previous experience working with sales teams and participating in pre-sales activities is a plus.
  • Curious and able to deal with uncertainty, with demonstrated experience incubating and commercializing new ideas

Preferred Skills / Experience
  • Experienced in creating polished documentation using MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Comfortable leading or managing multiple project workstreams
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills; ability to deal with ambiguity & rapid change and competing deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to review and synthesize information and form independent judgments
  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills and excellent follow-through

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on the applicant's geographic location. $150,000-$225,000
