Position: Product Manager
Toray Performance Materials Corporation (TPMC) is currently seeking a Product Manager to join our team. The position will be based in Camarillo, CA, reporting to TPMC Director of Sales.
Company Overview: Toray Performance Materials Corporation (TPMC), a part of the Toray Advanced Composites (TAC) Group, is a leader in development and manufacturing of thermoplastic composites technology and products. TPMC primarily services customers in the automotive, consumer recreation, medical, and electronics industries as well as other industrial segments. Growth in these markets and future expanded markets is desired.
Position Overview:
The Product Manager is responsible for the processes, tools, and technologies that support the sales team. The goal of the Product Manager is to enhance sales effectiveness, productivity and drive profitability within existing programs. To do that, product management will smooth out processes, make better use of numbers and research, and is the internal advocate for both the customer and the external sales team members. The duties range from providing guidance about market trends, to developing resources and tracking long-term sales data from available sources. The Product Manager maintains pricing structure and models for TPMC products and coordinates CSR activities among all TPMC sites. Evaluating the data and strategic recommendations for procedures and performance improvements.

Compensation:
A competitive compensation package including base salary, potential for bonus based on performance, group health, dental and vision insurance, and 401k will be available to the qualified applicant.

Major Duties and Requirements:
- Manage internal CSR teams at all TPMC facilities.
- Coordinates sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes used within the sales organization.
- Generates and distributes regular reports to the sales organization, and to management, detailing shipment history, profitability, revenue, margins, and backlog health.
- Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in pricing and quoting efforts. Continuously evaluates pricing methods and defines areas for improvement.
- Coordinates general business planning activities with operations, finance, quality, and engineering with a focus on customer satisfaction and profitability
- Works to ensure customer service organization objectives related to quote response time, order response time and general customer service are assigned and met in a timely fashion.
- Proactively identifies opportunities for sales process improvement.
- Works closely with sales management to inspect sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement.
- Assists sales management in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies and works collaboratively to address these.
- Facilitates a culture of continuous process improvement within the customer service and sales teams.
- Assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed.
- Builds peer support and strong internal - company relationships with other key management personnel.
- Travel up to 20% - Some international travel possible.
- Other job duties as assigned
Experience and/or Education Requirements:
- Engineering or Business Degree or equivalent experience desirable
- Experience in composites is a plus
- 2-5 years of experience in Product Management
