Product Manager

The Product Manager serves as the primary point of contact with the client's extensive supplier base and is responsible for efficiently managing the product and technical aspects of supplier relationships. Key responsibilities include building strong partnerships, conducting product and market evaluations, and identifying opportunities to drive sales within assigned supplier lines.

Residency in Michigan and 100% onsite work are mandatory

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage internal relationships across key departments (sales, marketing, purchasing, etc.) to ensure alignment on business strategies.
  • Lead meetings with key suppliers to review sales results, inventory turns, new product launches, incentives, and upcoming campaigns.
  • Ensure alignment of monthly, quarterly, and yearly activities with the strategic direction of assigned product lines.
  • Collaborate with the data content team to ensure product data, attributes, and descriptions are accurate and properly displayed on the client's eCommerce platform.
  • Work with marketing and sales teams to develop product positioning and go-to-market strategies.
  • Support the development of pricing and selling strategies for products across different market segments and channels.
  • Evaluate market competition by comparing the company's product positioning with competitors' offerings.
  • Continuously enhance professional and technical knowledge through supplier training seminars (online and in person) and building networks with key supplier contacts.
  • Coordinate special pricing agreements between the client's sales team and suppliers.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or Bachelor of Science in Industrial Automation/Controls, a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 2+ years of product management experience preferred.
  • Strong technical foundation in product offerings.
  • A self-starter with a proactive mindset and the ability to create value for the company.
  • Core competencies include: financial acumen, analytical skills, attention to detail, effective communication, customer focus, ethical conduct, initiative, execution management, personal effectiveness, positive attitude, professionalism, problem-solving, project management, thoroughness, and time management.

Compensation: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
