Job Description

  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Product Manager to oversee the full product development cycle, ensuring awareness of the status of each style at every stage including, but not limited to:
    • Sourcing and development
    • Product and packaging specifications
    • Costing
    • Managing timelines & critical milestones
    • Sample management and approvals (including Licensed product)
  • Manage all incoming samples and maintain an accurate sample tracking sheet and maintain an organized sample storage area.
  • Facilitate samples review via Teams with appropriate cross-functional partners in PD & Design to review all samples (development, PPS, and PS). Provide comments and suggestions on functionality and adherence to specs requested.
  • Manage and ship all samples and mockups for customer presentations.
  • Coordinate with the licensing team to meet product deadlines and approval processes for licensed merchandise. Assist with product submissions and managing the communication once feedback/approvals come in, to all cross-functional team members.
  • Develop and manage line lists.
  • Manage product lifecycle and development including, but not limited to, identifying product mix, leading brainstorm sessions, developing and managing the schedule, placement strategies, creating product line concepts, assigning verses, and testing requirements.
  • Drive early identification of challenges/issues, assess, and evaluate potential alternatives, and develop appropriate recommendations for resolution.
  • Assist Sr. PD Manager with creation of new item sourcing/spec sheet for fty's as needed.
  • Manage Sales Quote Request process with suppliers and/or HK Team. Duties include setting up, sending, and updating key documents. PD Associate will determine completeness; resolve issues with suppliers/HK and make recommendations to PD Managers.
  • Set-up MQ documents and send to fty's and update documents with selected fty quote.
  • Manage HTS process by adding needed projects to HTS master document and sending to compliance team, copying back all acquired information to PD team.
  • Manage UPC process by assigning UPC numbers to all newly sourced items.
  • Update Category and Customer Presentations with up to date and accurate information related to the product.
  • Assist in analyzing in-season sales data with the Sr. Product Manager and share insights for product optimization.
  • Participate in market trend research and competitive shopping to enhance market knowledge & recommend viable items for development that will drive incremental sales.

This is a full-time on-site position located in our Atlanta, GA office.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing or similar discipline or equivalent level of on-the-job-training.
  • 5-7 years of product development experience in the consumer products industry.
  • Proven ability to develop product lines from concept through product launch (ideally in related consumer goods category).
  • Experience with management and creation of Licensed products is a plus.
  • Creative and solution-driven with the ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands.
  • Customer facing experience with strong presentation abilities, including written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate ideas within a highly collaborative product development process including giving and receiving feedback.
  • Must be deadline conscious and detail oriented with the ability to self-direct priorities.
  • Must have the ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and deliverables.
  • Ability to determine new market opportunities.
  • Experience working internationally, China specifically.
  • Must work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment, especially in peak season.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Willing to travel to buying office, production facilities, and trend trips as needed.
