This role is in the MSWM Investment Platforms organization. WM Platforms encompasses a wide range of services and support designed to add value to our clients with a shared goal of serving the best interests of Service Partners and Clients and our clients.
Job Description: This Associate Vice President position will report to a designated officer within the Asset Movement Platforms team, part of Investment Platforms, and will work closely with various stakeholders including business, operations, technology, LRC, and advisor support teams across Wealth Management to identify and implement process control improvements within the asset movement platform/process space (i.e., systems and processes used for the movement of money through Automated Clearing House, Wire Transfer, check disbursement/deposits, intra-firm transfer of cash and securities). The role ensures the applicable systems and processes include appropriate controls to meet the needs of our end users, including field/service facing personnel, operations, and others while complying/enforcing firm policies, procedures, and standards.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $135,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Responsibilities:
- Lead all efforts related to the strengthening of controls and policy alignment in the money movement space.
- Engage with Legal, Risk, Compliance, Fraud and Regulatory Relations on various projects related to the money movement controls suite.
- Provide Business Analysis and Subject Matter Expertise to deliver enhanced and streamlined systems/processes to our field services and various home office teams with a focus on enhanced controls. Leverage Asset Movement business metrics to perform analysis and recommendations.
- Lead projects and direct partners across the firm throughout various project life cycles to ensure alignment and cohesiveness.
- Lead efforts to develop and deliver marketing, training and communications across the broader organization as it relates to platform and policy changes and help drive adoption of changes.
- Perform other miscellaneous project leadership activities as directed by head of Asset Movement Platform team. Closely track ongoing product development versus strategic roadmap.
Skills Required
- Must be highly motivated and an independent leader with a strong work ethic.
- Be able to work in a strong team and high activity environment where the sharing of ideas and talents is encouraged and welcomed
- Prior business/product ownership experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both business and technical contexts
- Strong analytical, process-oriented, user experience, problem-solving/issues-resolution skills
- Strong organizational, attention to detail and excellent follow up skills
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies preferred
- Experience with JIRA preferred
- Money Movement process experience preferred
- BA or BS preferred, but not required
- 5+ years of experience
