Product Owner

Location:

Charlotte, NC (Uptown). This role is required to be fulfilled onsite 5 days a week.

This role involves innovation, architecture, engineering, and development of IT security controls, as well as program/project management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven track record in a product management role within a software development environment.
• In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality software products.
• Proficiency in using project management and collaboration tools, such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Certification(s) related to Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner).
• Previous experience in cybersecurity, specifically vulnerability management or application security testing.
• Experience with Jira, .NET, or Java development.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
• Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring alignment with the overall product vision and business goals.
• Translate business requirements into actionable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
• Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and the development team.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and validate product expectations.
• Conduct sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint review sessions.
• Monitor project progress and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Participate in retrospectives to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay current with industry trends and leverage this knowledge for product enhancement.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure a positive collaborative working environment.
