Product Owner,Digital Workplace: Touchscreens and User Interfaces

Overview

As aProduct Ownerwithin the Technology and Product Management Teamyou will join a tightly knit and high performing group of industry veterans shepherding complex and highly integrated products to market.

As a Product Owneryou become the product expert and will assistwith driving the development of our touchscreenand user interfacehardware products and accessories, related firmwareand softwareapplications,as well aspartner integrations. Working hand in hand with project management, the hardware, and software engineering teams and QE you will play a significant role in product planning, writingand implementing product requirements, championing the product through the development life cycle, and will continue through supporting sales and marketing efforts during the new product rollout. You will participatein daily standups and help to clarify and evolve product requirements and user stories, triage and prioritize bugsand work to navigateproject risks tomeet project schedules, anddeliver products that exceed customersexpectations.

Responsibilities

• Serveas product solutions expert

• Assistwith competitive analysis, proof-of-concepts, early-access programs, research/feasibility studies, and solutions development.

• Provide insight and expertiseto groom the backlog,define epics and user stories for agile software development.

• Manage technical issues escalated to engineering. Work to clarifythe impact and prioritization, identifyingpotential solutions and mitigations, and assistwith managing the impact to customers and the business

• Work with productionand quality engineeringto improve test plans

• Present the software, hardware, and integrated solutions virtually or in-person (as required)

• Participate in industry tradeshows and other key market events.

• Work with cross-functional departments such as marketing, training, support, production, sales, etc. to ensure the product is a success.

• Keep abreast of competitive landscape and technology trends

• Use industry knowledge in conjunction with competitive research to help the product management team craft tomorrow'sproduct roadmap

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skillsand Abilities:

• Technical Expertise:

• Strong understanding of Android OS, APK development, and device APIs.

• Broad understanding of Ethernet networking technologies and protocols as they pertain to residential and commercial AV systems integration.

• Familiarity with streaming media technologies and tools (VLC, EXOPlayer, H.264/265, AES67, Dante, NDI)

• Proficiencywith, and knowledge of, unified communications solutions from major providers such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, Cisco WebEx, etc.

• Proficiencywith, and knowledge of, enterprise technologies including wireless collaboration and presentation, digital signage, and related software, management tools, and services.

• Experience in HTML5 and other UI/UX tools

• Project Management:Experience in managing complex projects from ideation through launch.

• Collaboration:Ability to work with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, and customer support.

• Analytical Skills:Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze market trends and customer feedback.

• Communication:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Leadership: Ability to lead team meetings, set expectations, and hold people accountable for delivering the expected product

• Agile Methodologies:Familiarity with agile development processes and tools.

• Self-starter:Capacityto constantly learn new software and hardware technologies and an ability to quickly put that learning into practice in support of highly visible real-world projects. Be able to research and become an expert on new technologiesrelevant to the product line.

• Team player: Demonstratesvisible company spiritand an ability to quickly gain the trust of key stakeholders, end-users, and co-workers alike.

• Hands On:Ability to be hands-on and travel occasionally to tradeshows as well as job sites to see how our products are getting installed/applied and be able to translate that experience into a better product

Ideal Experience & Education:

• 3+ years experiencein a technical role (product engineering, product management, support, etc.) in the AV or commercial broadcast industry

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or Engineering preferred but not required

• Certification in Agile Development (ScaledAgile, CSM, etc.) is preferred but not required.
