Production Engineer

Overview:

Infinite Machine is looking for a highly skilled and driven Production Engineer to lead our vehicles to manufacturing completion. You will collaborate closely with teams Industrial Design, Vehicle Engineering, Sales, and Budgeting, ensuring that all manufacturing aspects align with the company's product vision.

This role requires deep manufacturing expertise to independently drive processes and only escalate issues when critical changes are needed. You will work alongside our engineers and resources to deliver high-quality, innovative electric vehicles to the market.

Responsibilities:

• Ownership of Manufacturing Process: Take full responsibility for ensuring the product is manufacturable, overseeing the production process from prototype to final assembly.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with departments including Industrial Design, Sales, and Budgeting to integrate design intent with manufacturability and cost targets.
• Manufacturing Decision Making: Make critical decisions based on manufacturing constraints and opportunities, ensuring the product design is aligned with production capabilities.
• Team Coordination: Collaborate effectively with key resources, including mechanical and systems engineers, to implement efficient and scalable manufacturing solutions.
• Issue Escalation: Solve manufacturing challenges independently, escalating issues only when significant product changes are necessary.
• Quality Control: Ensure all products meet Infinite Machine's high standards for performance, safety, and quality before entering production.
• Process Optimization: Continuously refine manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and control costs.
• Vendor Management: Work with external manufacturing partners and suppliers to ensure they meet deadlines, budgets, and quality expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in production engineering or manufacturing, preferably in automotive, electric vehicles, or consumer electronics.
• Strong understanding of design-for-manufacture (DFM) principles, process flow, and materials engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional teams and coordinate with external suppliers to deliver projects on time.
• Experience with CAD software and manufacturing planning tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to act independently in a fast-paced environment.
