Position Summary
The Production Engineer will be a key member of our Production Operations team and is expected to manage profitability and production within an area of responsibility, to work side by side with a multi-disciplinary team, to design and optimize artificial lift, and maintain close communication with the field operations. The Production Engineer role will be based in Irving or Houston, TX and must be willing to travel to our field operations on a regular basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work closely with a full asset team field operations, marketing, reservoir, drilling, completions, facilities, geology, land, and regulatory groups.
- Coordinate with the field operations teams to optimize base production and reduce downtime.
- Spend time in the field as needed for engineering support and safety meetings.
- Manage and optimize production chemical programs treating scale, corrosion, foamer etc.
- Generate AFE's for workovers, recompletions, and well maintenance operations.
- Lead regularly scheduled well reviews with field operations and other asset team members.
- Diagnose root cause of surface and subsurface failures, develop solutions, evaluate economics, execute procedures, and perform lookbacks to improve systematic and reoccurring failures.
- Monitor well and economic performance, conduct reservoir surveillance to create development plans to maximize asset value.
- Track and monitor LOE, workover and capital spending to meet budget or exceed targets and KPI's.
- Demonstrate and encourage a culture of Health, Safety & Environmental leadership.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Education, Experience, Licensure
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or related field of study
- Minimum Two (2) years of experience in Production, Operations, and/or Reservoir Engineering in the Exploration & Production (E&P) or relevant industry
- Possess valid driver's license and clean driving record (MVR) that meet Company's Insurance qualifications to operate Company vehicle.
