Job Duties
- Plan ,organize, and supervise all aspects of the production process.
- Monitor production performance and calibrate schedules as needed to address any issues or delays.
- Support manufacturing and plant initiatives for all division products.
- Review and maintain production and manufacturing documentation, and drawings for build process through to loading for shipping.
- Collaborate with Team Managers and Inventory Control to ensure accurate data from the MRP system.
- Participate in the development of systems to evaluate, score, and implement manufacturing business system process improvements.
- Identifying areas for waste reduction and assisting in improving plant or process flow.
- Consult with Quality Assurance staff and engineers on quality issues; Ensuring quality issues are addressed in a timely manner.
- Lead, mentor, and manage production staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive work environment, encouraging team engagement and professional development.
- Identify and address training needs for Team Managers and their staff.
- Ensure ongoing compliance of company policies and government regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED or equivalent;
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience with 3 years manufacturing leadership role.
- Strong organizational skills, leadership skills and management skills.
- Must possess excellent communication skills for communicating with internal departments.
- Highly motivated and self-directed, positive team attitude, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- CWB welding supervisor training, LEAN Manufacturing training an asset
- Experience with quality systems an asset
- Extremely detail-oriented and analytical thinker.
- Ability to create and review technical documentation, including project plans, and design documents.
- Able to develop, review, and maintain metrics and audits.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
Working Conditions
- Ability to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- Overtime as required.
